All you need is yourself, a little water, some great motivation, and comfortable, plain clothes. (Solid color tee shirts, sweats, etc.) As you progress, uniforms and belts will become necessary, but to begin, just show up.
How much does it cost to practice?
After a few free trial classes, you can purchase monthly, yearly, or per-class packages according to your own interest. Uniforms, belt test fees, and event costs are additional. See our Student Registration PortalĀ for details.
Are the martial arts safe?
Because we practice a non-contact form of Tae Kwon Do (Korean Karate), people of all ages, shapes, and sizes can feel comfortable practicing with us. Children, adults, the elderly, and even people with disabilities can practice together at their own individual level. (As with any physical exercise, people with certain health problems will need to check with their physician to make sure they are healthy enough to participate.)
Why a non-contact form?
Practicing a non-violent form allows us to follow the true spirit of the martial artist: Endless peace emanating from an indomitable spirit.
Besides, I practice with my friends, why would I want to hit them?
What if I have experience from a different school of martial art?
We recognize belts from students in the World Martial Arts Association. If you have prior experience from another discipline you will begin at the white belt level as with all new students in the class. We ask that participants that have knowledge of other martial arts refrain from practicing that material in class even during warming up as it can be quite distracting for other students in the class.
